Cornell Fashion Technology Guest Lecturer
FEBRUARY 21st 2020
On February 21st I guest lectured on behalf of Professor Tasha Lewis Fashion Technology course at Cornell University. Professor Lewis teaches a class on Fashion and technology which focuses on available technologies, implementation and analysis. I was privileged to take the class while in graduate school and was both thrilled and honored to return to speak about fit solutions.
I provided the students with three examples of pilots and current client issues. They were given instructions to solve for the best agile solutions using available technology from our directory. Needless to say, I was both surprised and impressed by the student's aptitude for research and analysis!
Takeaways: We will continue to work with students to resolve complex problems in fashion tech. The students have excellent research and analysis skills while understanding the issues plaguing the fashion industry.
Congrats to Professor Lewis for such an outstanding course!

TransformHER Conference @ Linkedin
FEBRUARY 28TH 2020
On Friday, February 28th, 2020, I along with, Brittany Hicks, was invited to speak at the TransformHER conference hosted by LinkedIn.
TransformHER is the premier conference for professional women of color in technology. The conference is structured to help attendees build stronger relationships and leverage resources to advance their careers. Special thank you Tayrona Heath for putting the event together and the invitation!
Takeaways: The future is female, the opposition isn’t men, the opposition is ignorance and resistance to change. Those things come in all forms, genders and races but it is up to those who can, to do. No matter your industry, we must keep a global, collaborative perspective of how we move forward.
